This edition was printed in London 24 years after Bloch first published this landmark piece that ultimately changed film-making thanks to Hitchcock. He is best known as the writer of Psycho, the basis for the film of the same name by Alfred Hitchcock. He was the recipient of the Hugo Award, the Edgar Allen Poe Award for Psycho and in 1994 he won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement. Robert Albert Bloch (1917-1994) was a prolific American writer, primarily of crime, horror, fantasy, and science fiction. According to Bloch, Universal Studios loathed the novel, which was intended to critique Hollywood splatter films. The novel was completed before the screenplay was written for the unrelated 1983 film Psycho II. ![]() This is a sequel to the 1959 novel Psycho and follows Norman Bates escapes from a mental asylum and goes on another rampage. ![]() Volume is in fine, unmarked condition unclipped jacket has a small tear upper front edge and very light shelf edge wear.
